While attending Texas A&M University in the late 1970s, Mike and Becky Barnett began working for A-Perm-O-Green Lawn in Bryan TX. They married in 1981 and then acquired full ownership of the company in 1984. Mike’s passion for cultivating healthy lawns and landscapes meshed perfectly with Becky’s love of taking care of customers and managing the day-to-day operations of the company. They were soon blessed with daughters Jennifer and Emily, both of whom grew up helping with the business, inherited green thumbs from their parents, and continued the family tradition of studies at Texas A&M. In August 2015, Mike unexpectedly passed away doing what he loved: working outdoors. Jennifer earned three degrees from Texas A&M and is now in private practice as a doctor of veterinary medicine in the Dallas area. Emily earned a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M before joining A-Perm-O-Green Lawn to work full time with her mother Becky in the Conroe headquarters. Becky now serves as CEO and continues to carry on the legacy that she built with Mike, their two children, and their incredibly-talented, dedicated team of professional technicians.
